Overview

A build that fits your home, your street, your life.

Renovating an older Plymouth home is rarely just decoration. Behind the wallpaper there's usually wiring from the 1970s, a single-skin extension built on no foundations, a back boiler that should've gone years ago and a roof that's quietly leaking.

We take on whole-house renovations — strip-out, structural alterations, rewires, replumbs, new heating, plastering, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms and decoration — and run them as one coordinated job, not a relay between five different trades you have to project-manage yourself.

From naval terraces in Stonehouse to Edwardian villas in Mutley and 1960s detached homes in Plympton — we've stripped them back, made them sound and brought them up to a 21st-century standard.

Benefits

Why homeowners choose this route.

01

Single point of responsibility

One contract, one project manager, one number to call when something needs deciding.

02

Trades scheduled properly

First-fix electrics before plaster, second-fix after — not the other way round because someone forgot.

03

Period detail respected

Cornicing matched, original timber doors restored, sash windows refurbished where viable.

04

Modern services

Full rewire, replumb, new heating, smart heating controls and CAT6 data — designed in from the start.

05

Energy upgrade as standard

Loft, floor and where possible wall insulation upgrades during the renovation, not after.

06

Realistic timelines & costs

We plan in contingency for what older houses always throw up — so the timeline holds.

FAQs

Common questions.

Got something specific? Send us a message and we'll come back the same working day.

Do I need to move out during a renovation?
For a full back-to-brick renovation with rewire, replumb and floors up — yes, we'd strongly recommend it. For a partial renovation we can phase the work to keep at least one bedroom and bathroom liveable throughout.
How much does a Plymouth renovation cost?
As a guide, light renovations (kitchens, bathrooms, decoration, some rewiring) run £40k–£90k. Full back-to-brick renovations on a typical 3-bed semi run £120k–£220k depending on finish.
How long does a full renovation take?
A typical 3-bed full renovation runs 5–7 months on site. Larger period homes with structural work can run 8–12 months.
Will you handle planning and Building Control?
Yes — we manage all applications, structural calcs, party-wall agreements where needed, and Building Control sign-off.
